I painted this piece to capture the pain I felt when my grandfather passed away, coinciding with my divorce. The moth symbolizes the sting of losing someone dear, whether a spouse or a loved one. That's why I depicted the moth with a stinger, a fictional addition to represent the intensity of the pain. The skull reflects the emptiness I felt inside, yet it's portrayed in green to signify rebirth and renewal. Through this experience, I've learned and grown, shaping the person I am today.
